The Bridge Bench draws inspiration from concrete highway bridges and translates their structural language with 40mm oak, at furniture scale.

Highway bridges are load-bearing structures, engineered to span distance, distribute weight, and endure constant stress. Defined by their linear geometry and exposed materiality, they are built for utility, by repetition, and permanence.

This work is part of 'highway systems',  a larger research in how principles of highway infrastructure can inform furniture design.​
